How long does a satellite TV installation take?

A standard single-view DStv installation takes 60–90 minutes. Extra View or Explora installs take 90–120 minutes.

Do you supply the dish and decoder?

Yes — we supply and install genuine MultiChoice-approved dishes, LNBs and decoders, or install hardware you already own.

Do you install on tile, IBR and thatch roofs?

Yes. Our installers use the correct mounting hardware and sealing method for every roof type.

Can you install on a boundary wall or pole?

Yes — wall, pole and ground mounts are all available if a roof mount isn't suitable.

Do I need to be home for the installation?

An adult must be present to sign off and confirm signal on all viewing points.

What does E48-32 mean?

E48-32 means your decoder isn't receiving signal from the dish — usually an alignment, LNB or cable fault. We fix these on the spot.

Why is my picture pixelated during storms?

Rain fade can happen briefly during heavy storms, but if it persists your dish likely needs re-alignment or the LNB replaced.

My decoder says 'searching for signal' — what now?

Call 064 133 1283. It's usually alignment, LNB or cable — we diagnose and repair in one visit.

Do you repair all decoder brands?

We repair or replace all DStv HD, Explora and Explora Ultra decoders, plus OVHD and GOtv.

Can you mount a TV on a drywall?

Yes — we use the correct drywall anchors or fix into studs for full support.

Do you hide cables in the wall?

Yes. We offer both in-wall cable concealment and neat trunking depending on your wall.

What size TVs can you mount?

From 32" to 85" and larger — we supply brackets rated for your specific TV.

Do you supply the bracket?

Yes — fixed, tilt and full-motion brackets available at fair prices.

Why is only one of my TVs losing signal?

Usually a cable, splitter or Extra View fault on that specific run — we fault-find and fix.

Can trees affect my satellite signal?

Yes — growing trees are a common cause of gradual signal loss. We can re-position the dish for a clear line of sight.

Do you use a signal meter?

Every installation and repair is peaked using a professional digital signal meter.

How much does a DStv installation cost?

Prices depend on the setup and access, but standard single-view installations start from very affordable rates. Call us for a firm quote.

Is the call-out fee included?

For installations, the call-out is included in the quote. For repairs, a small call-out fee applies and is deducted from the repair total.

Do you accept EFT and card payments?

Yes — cash, EFT and card payments are all accepted on site.

How many TVs can I connect on Extra View?

Up to 4 independent viewing rooms with a Smart LNB and Explora decoders.

Do all rooms need an Explora?

The primary decoder must be an Explora; secondary rooms can use HD decoders on the same account.

Do I pay extra to DStv for Extra View?

Yes, MultiChoice charges a small monthly Extra View fee per additional decoder. We handle the activation.

Can Explora record two things at once?

Yes — Explora records two channels while you watch a third that's already recorded or on Catch Up.

What is Explora Ultra?

Explora Ultra is a 4K decoder with built-in Netflix, Showmax and YouTube — the top-of-range DStv decoder.

Do I need fibre for Explora?

Not required, but Wi-Fi or fibre unlocks Catch Up, streaming apps and BoxOffice.

How many cameras do I need for my home?

Typically 4–8 cameras cover a standard home: entrances, driveway, backyard and side access. We advise on-site.

Can I view my cameras on my phone?

Yes — every system we install includes secure remote viewing on iOS and Android.

Do I need internet for CCTV?

Recording works without internet, but you need internet for remote viewing and cloud backup.

How long is footage stored?

Depending on hard drive size and camera count, typically 14–30 days of continuous recording.

Are your CCTV installs POPIA compliant?

Yes — we advise on signage, storage and access controls to keep your system POPIA compliant.

Do you offer after-hours call-outs?

Yes — priority emergency call-outs are available across Gauteng. Extra call-out fees apply after hours.

How fast can you get to me?

In most Gauteng suburbs we're on site within 2–4 hours during business hours.

Can you help during load-shedding?

Yes — we can advise on and install UPS units for decoders, ONTs and CCTV so you stay connected.

Which areas do you cover?

Do you charge extra for outlying areas?

A small travel fee may apply to smallholdings and outlying areas — always confirmed upfront.

Do you give free quotes?

Yes — telephonic and WhatsApp quotes are free. On-site quotes for large jobs are also free.

Is your work guaranteed?

Can you mount a TV above a fireplace?

Yes — we use full-motion brackets so you can angle the TV to a comfortable viewing height.

Do you replace cracked LNBs?

Yes — genuine LNBs supplied, replaced and re-aligned on the same visit.
